Student profile : Benoit Corvol, from catering to low-code with Bubble
After an initial career in the world of gourmet catering, Benoit finally got into app development thanks to Nocode. With Lucie, he is a student in the second promotion. He is doing his work-study at Boomrang.
Background
After several years' experience abroad, notably in Ireland, England and the Netherlands, where he worked as a Supervising Manager helping restaurateurs open their establishments, he returned to France during the crisis period caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. He then spent a lot of time on Youtube, as he was interested in traditional development. In the course of his research, he came across channels dealing with Nocode and presenting various tools. Intrigued, he decided to try Bubble, which won him over with its workflow system.
Why did you turn to Nocode and Alegria.academy?
Benoit is very interested in the way Bubble works, and particularly appreciates the Workflows system. He would like to train, and is particularly interested in the work-study format offered by Alegira.academy. After having worked for several years, it was simply impossible for him to consider full-time training. Benoit underlines this by saying, "I've been working abroad for six years, and going back to a full-time, purely theoretical course would have been very complicated for me." The support of the teaching team in his search for a work-study program was also a real asset in his decision.
What are your impressions of the first 3 months of training?
Benoit is a member of the second class of the Alegria.academy, and his impressions are generally positive. He particularly appreciated the teaching modules devoted to JavaScript, which were given at the start of his course, as well as the courses given on Bubble by Pierre Tillement during the Bootcamp and then by Fakossa during the specialization phase. These modules reinforced his conviction that he should specialize in Visual Programming.
How is your internship going?
His work at Boomrang focuses mainly on the use of Bubble, where he combines Make, Webflow, JavaScript and algorithm implementation. His various projects involve developing online Escape Games, creating and maintaining websites, developing applications for customers, and implementing automation, notably using artificial intelligence. This opportunity gives him the chance to combine both coding and the use of Nocode tools, a low-code approach he greatly appreciates.
What next?
Benoît aspires to go further in his professional reconversion by choosing to continue his studies on a sandwich course in traditional development. He remains with the same company on a work-study basis, a choice that enables him to combine his work on Bubble with pushing the limits of this tool thanks to new programming skills. He also works on a freelance basis to further broaden his skills.
Benoît's journey shows that Nocode can be a means of progressing towards wider tech opportunities, thanks to its versatile and adaptable approach.
