The Impact of NoCode on Michèle Dubeau's Creative Vision

Passionate about digital creation, Michèle began with a business school course where she specialized in marketing and business strategy. Aspiring to a more creative activity, she reoriented herself in 2020 towards UX/UI Design, a revelation that came after a dream.

Trained intensively in Web Design and HTML/CSS and in Paris, Michèle discovered Webflow in 2021, transforming her approach with innovative NoCode projects. Wanting to specialize in NoCode, she has been bringing her expertise to Alegria.group since January 2024, illustrating the possibilities of NoCode in Design and Development.

Between her career path, various projects and challenges, Michèle shares her inspiring journey! 🤩

Son Background

Born in Seoul, Korea, Michèle Dubeau grew up in this dynamic city until the age of 17. In 2015, she moved to France to pursue her higher education. She joined a business school where she specialized in marketing, branding and business strategy, obtaining her Master 1 degree in 2019.
However, the beginning of his career did not bring him the satisfaction he had hoped for. Wishing to complement her strategic skills with creative and technical skills, Michèle decided to reorient herself in September 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. While she was exploring different career options, she discovered the job of UX/UI Designer through job offers. One evening, a dream reveals to her her true vocation: to become a UX Designer. This revelation marked a decisive turning point in his professional life: "When I woke up I said to myself: eureka! So that's my way!" she laughs.

Michèle then enrolled in a design school located rue du Louvre in Paris, where she followed an intensive one-year training in Web Design and HTML/CSS. In August 2021, she landed an internship in a small design agency specializing in showcase and institutional sites, as well as e-commerce sites, particularly in fashion and jewelry. Following this internship, the agency where Michèle works hires her full-time, which allows the Web Designer to continue her skills development. It is in this context that she discovered Webflow, one of the essential platforms for creating NoCode sites!

Thanks to tutorials on YouTube, official Webflow courses and her prior knowledge of HTML/CSS, Michèle quickly mastered the tool. She will therefore chain several projects in NoCode, which allows her to combine all her skills: Web Design, Development and Business.

Today, her cross-disciplinary approach enables her not only to better understand the stakes of a project and the needs of her customers, completing her thinking at the design stage, but also to think design in anticipation of development challenges and constraints. This global vision of projects and her critical reasoning give her all the material she needs to optimize her creations and always propose better solutions.

The rise of NoCode and its arrival at Alegria.group

With her experience, Michèle became a Full Stack Designer, taking care of both Web Design and Front-end Development. Eager to specialize more in NoCode, she discovered Alegria.group on Webflow's official partners page. When she contacted Florian Casanova, our Head of Design, on LinkedIn, she spontaneously offered her services, inquiring about the company's needs in terms of NoCode Design.

In January 2024, Michèle joined Alegria.group where she brings her expertise and passion for NoCode.

At Alegria.solutions, she works on Web Design assignments for showcase sites, mobile applications and business applications. Based on Michèle's graphic design, these different projects are then developed on NoCode tools, in particular on Flutterflow, Webflow and Powerapps : "Each project revolved around different topics than what I was used to before, it took me out of my comfort zone a lot and it was a real challenge for me! I was able to learn gradually, adopt new reflexes and different reasoning in terms of architecture and background.
The main challenge was to design by taking into account the specificities of the development of the various tools we use at Alegria.group. Indeed, each tool has its own 'rules'; So it's very interesting to adapt the designs according to the tool to make the developers' work easier, while always thinking about the user experience and a visually appealing design!"

Overview of his creations at Alegria.group

What she's proud of

1- Client project: Cleantech for Europe

One of Michèle's most significant projects is the creation of the Cleantech for Europe website. This ambitious project, carried out on Webflow, is a very content-rich news media/site that brings together several content management systems (CMS). The site, which collaborates with politicians and members of the European Parliament, is a key platform for the promotion of clean technologies in Europe.

Michèle admits that if she had to revisit the site today, she would make some optimizations to the experience design. However, she remains extremely proud of this project because of its complexity and the impact it has had. In Design, this project required him to think in terms of information architecture and the categorization of very rich content. In Development, she had to practice and improve her skills on the Internet to implement certain features and integrate attributes with third-party tools, a task she had never done before.

2- Self-Paced Learning and Webflow Courses

Outside of her client projects, Michèle is particularly proud of her Webflow skills, which she acquired in a self-taught way. Mastering this tool has allowed him to create remarkable and functional sites, which is a great source of personal satisfaction.

In addition, Michèle gives Webflow courses to students on the 15-month training course run by Alegria.academy, an experience that has enabled her to prove her credibility and legitimacy as a trainer: "Before I started, I wondered if I was credible and legitimate enough to teach. I realized the answer was yes from the very first class: it went super well and the students loved it!"

Michèle's cheat codes

1- Practice: Key to Success 🏆

For Michèle, practice makes perfect. She advises taking on projects, even if they're small or simple at first: "Every project is an opportunity to develop and strengthen your skills! NoCode is intuitive, and even when things seem complicated, you just have to practice to overcome the obstacles."

2- Passion for NoCode 🙌 Tools

Michèle also insists on the importance of loving and being fascinated by the ease and power of NoCode tools. Appreciating the potential of these tools is crucial to staying motivated and engaged in the field. This fascination allows you to see the endless possibilities that NoCode offers and to stay inspired to create innovative projects.

Following these tips, Michèle Dubeau encourages aspiring NoCode Designers to practice regularly and nurture their passion for NoCode tools. These, she believes, are the keys to success in this rapidly expanding field.

His advice for those who want to get started

"Go for it, it's magic!"

Michèle describes NoCode as a magical and accessible technology, allowing everyone to bring their ideas to life and create products and projects without the traditional barriers of coding.

"It's an intuitive and efficient technology"

Michèle emphasizes the intuitiveness and effectiveness of NoCode. These tools are designed to be easy to use, even for beginners. They allow concepts to be transformed into tangible realities quickly and without the complexities of traditional development.

"There are no barriers in NoCode"

Finally, Michèle insists on the fact that anyone can learn and use these technologies to carry out their projects. This absence of barriers opens up endless possibilities for creativity and innovation.

In short, Michèle urges anyone who's still hesitating to take the plunge into NoCode. With her infectious enthusiasm and inspiring experience, she demonstrates that NoCode is an open path for everyone to explore, create and succeed! 🦾

What next?

To Full Stack Design

Michèle plans to become a Full Stack Designer. She wants to continue to create user experiences with not only the needs of users in mind, but also the goals of businesses. She aspires to master not only front-end development, but also to explore more of the back-end, in order to acquire a transversal and global vision of projects.

A Global and Transversal Vision

Michèle wants to deepen this global approach to better reflect and support projects in a holistic way. She firmly believes that this integrated vision will lead to a better understanding of the challenges and to propose more coherent and effective solutions. By combining its skills in Design, Front-end Development and soon back-end, it aims to offer complete and relevant support to its customers and employees.

With these ambitions, Michèle Dubeau continues to position herself as a professional determined to innovate and improve, thus contributing to the evolution of the NoCode community and beyond! Her career path and aspirations are a testament to her commitment to pushing the limits of her skills to deliver the best in every project.

We wish him every success in all his projects!
