Jacques Lavaivre is a 26-year-old man who has been immersed in the world of technology ever since he was a child. Originally from Paris, Jacques has a natural interest in the sciences, as both his parents work in the scientific field.

"I've always had a natural affinity with the sciences! After high school, the next logical step for me was a preparatory class followed by an engineering school."

After following this academic path, Jacques reached a crucial point of reflection at the end of his studies. Despite having a degree in Robotics Engineering and a Master's in Business Management and Administration as a double major, the young man felt the need to find an alternative to conventional office life.

"I wanted to work with more freedom, to escape the office routine. So that's when I decided to go freelance!"

With expertise in robotics and programming, Jacques initially envisaged staying in the robotics field as a web developer. However, he soon realized that this field had not only advantages, but also disadvantages. "During my 6-month end-of-studies internship, I realized that telecommuting was just impossible in robotics! So, in 2022, I made the decision to become a full stack developer."

This transition marks the start of a new adventure for Jacques, where his passion for technology takes on a new form in the world of web development.

Discovering the Nocode

After entering the world of web development as a full stack developer, Jacques Lavaivre quickly broadened his horizons by discovering the potential of Nocode. This transition took place during an assignment with a technology company that had just launched a "Nocode section". Jacques had the opportunity to work with various Nocode tools, helping to set up recruitment processes, internal missions, and even external projects such as the creation of a landing page for ArianeGroup, the famous space company. The Maker used the Nocode Webflow tool to complete this project!

"I spent 7 to 8 months identifying and using different Nocode tools. This experience enriched my knowledge and allowed me to fully immerse myself in Nocode!"

Armed with his familiarity with Nocode tools, Jacques embarked on a series of varied projects. At Maam Land, a support company for entrepreneurs, his role is indispensable: he creates MVPs (Minimum Viable Products). "MVPs are like first versions of their site, so customers can then visualize their site as a finished product and explore each of its features before publication!"

It was an experience full of surprises for Jacques: "I was able to create a variety of projects! Among them, I developed an equivalent of Tinder for job offers, by developing an algorithm for ranking candidates according to the recruiter's field and needs!"

Subsequently, Jacques collaborated with BNP Paribas to create a management tool for their Graduate Programmes, offering employees the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and work in the company's various locations for two years. It was thanks to Nocode's WeWeb and Xano tools that Jacques accomplished this mission!

Jacques went on to work on countless projects. These include Flexliving, an apartment rental platform for businesses, and Antichaos, a company that creates business applications to improve your company's efficiency. In fact, he also developed these two sites using the Nocode tools WeWeb and Xano!

And that's not all, Jacques has also set up an innovative marketplace for Teven.ai, where AI is used to recommend the best products based on the characteristics entered by the user!

Jacques is constantly expanding his capabilities thanks to his versatility and experience!

Each of his initiatives reflects not only his technical expertise, but also his passion for exploring the infinite possibilities offered by Nocode.

How does he integrate Nocode and AI into his daily life?

"I don't really use Nocode in my daily life, I really use it for professional purposes. However, when it comes to AI, I use ChatGPT a lot! Whether it's to obtain information or automate the creation of files in an online storage space, ChatGPT saves me time and enables me to quickly locate the resources I need."

The project he's most proud of

Among the exciting projects he has led, Jacques expresses particular pride in his work with Antichaos. He emphasizes the level of personal investment in this project, proudly supporting that he developed "all the ideas from A to Z".

"This is the project in which I've invested the most energy. I was involved at every level, from initial conception to complete realization! To have the responsibility of leading a project of this scale alone is just incredible. And then, it's gratifying to see that a project I've entirely carried out generates great customer satisfaction."

Firstly, Jacques insists that it's imperative to find your first challenging customers "For my first customer, I struggled a bit, it's true. But that's how you build up your skills and find solutions!"

For the Maker, the main cheat code is customer satisfaction and the quality of the work delivered. He stresses the importance of exceeding customer expectations and ensuring that every project is carried out with excellence! "Now, I don't even have to prospect anymore; customers come to me through word of mouth and referrals!"

His advice for those who want to get started

"The first thing I would say to them is: Be patient. I, too, have experienced low points and doubts at the beginning. It can be difficult to get your first customers, but patience is essential! Be rigorous in your work too. Quality attracts recognition, which leads to new opportunities."

Jacques stresses the importance of perseverance, especially at the start of his Nocode journey. He also encourages newcomers to get out of their comfort zone, be ambitious and push themselves. "The first few clients can be an intimidating stage, but even not knowing everything at the start, if you're determined and deliver excellent work, success will naturally follow."

How does he organize himself as a freelancer?

The key to success as a freelancer lies in meticulous organization and effective communication with customers, according to Jacques.

"I'm constantly working on my organization. It's essential that the customer can always reach me within 5 minutes. This creates valuable trust with the customer, showing that I'm available and committed to every project!"

He adds, "For my own organization, I try to maintain normal working days, usually from 9am to 5 or even 6pm. I also set myself weekly objectives. This structure helps me to stay focused, meet deadlines and achieve my professional goals efficiently."

What next?

Jacques Lavaivre, in search of continued growth, plans to go beyond freelance status and explore new possibilities. "I'd like to continue on my current path, but my ultimate goal is to set up an agency. The idea would be to create a competent team to meet the challenges ahead!"

Jacques' vision extends even beyond national borders. Benefiting from the flexibility offered by remote working, he no longer sets himself any geographical limits.
