Nassim tells you all about his professional projects, challenges and advice!
His background
At 34, Morocco-based Nocode developer Nassim Ezzakraoui embodies the bold fusion between a background as a seasoned actuary and an emerging passion for Nocode, in particular the Bubble tool.
Nassim began his academic and professional career with a mathematics/physics preparatory course, followed by actuarial training. He then spent a decade in this field, immersing himself in the world of mathematics, probability and programming. Specializing in banking engineering, Nassim began using Artificial Intelligence right from the start, with the aim of forecasting risks in the banking and insurance sector!
"How did I become a freelancer?" asks Nassim, sharing his diverse background. His first significant step towards entrepreneurial independence came when he created his code-focused start-up (specifically JavaScript), launched after resigning from his position as an actuary in London.
Despite a promising start, the project didn't reach the heights hoped for "We managed to get 5k users, but it wasn't enough to generate revenue over the long term."
This first entrepreneurial experience left an indelible mark. "Even if it didn't end as I would have liked, I loved it!" declares Nassim. Returning to his actuarial roots, he continued to explore how to rapidly develop his ideas without massive delegation or resorting to high freelance costs.
"But how can I do it alone?" asks Nassim. It was thanks to this question that he made the acquaintance of the powerful Nocode domain. It was the beginning of a quest without constraints or limits, an opportunity to save time and push back the frontiers of what would otherwise have been difficult to achieve.
Nassim aspired to test his ideas independently and efficiently, and that's how he discovered Nocode, a path that would radically change his perspective on development and entrepreneurship.
Discovering the Nocode
The revelation came during a webinar in partnership with Université Paris Dauphine, an hour-long session that unveiled the incredible potential of Nocode and Bubble. Nassim enthusiastically recalls, "I thought to myself: he's describing exactly the tool I was looking for!"
This defining moment prompted him to immerse himself further in the Nocode world by joining communities, the first of which was Nocode France.
He urges aspirants to always attend webinars and sign up for newsletters, stressing that there's always something to be gained. His thirst for learning has led him to attend training courses and use a particular strategy: "I took an experienced developer as an example. When he developed an application, I would redo everything he did on my side. To sum up this experience in three words: it was applicative!"
Bootcamps have also been a key element in his learning, providing a springboard for developing his skills. Nassim highlights the importance of working on personal projects and being assessed on them, pointing out that tutorials already solve all the constraints. "You have to try and challenge yourself," he insists.
Bubble's clarity and potential were immediately obvious to Nassim. In 2021, he made the leap to freelancing, leaving his job as an actuary and setting up on his own. He now offers several services to his customers.
Indeed, Nassim is not only a freelance Bubble developer, but also an actuary and web developer!
As a freelancer on three different domains, he notes that the area where he gets the most assignments is Nocode, with Bubble assignments becoming more and more numerous. He also emphasizes the remote-first aspect of the Nocode universe, enabling professionals to work with customers from all over the world, a feature he hopes will continue.
Despite some moments of hesitation about exploring other platforms like Adalo, Nassim decided to stick with Bubble, a decision he considers wise in hindsight. His intuition guided him through the right choices, and he's pleased with this direction.
"Already with my Bubble missions, my diary is already full. Maybe one day, I'll try delegating or setting up a mini-agency!" suggests Nassim, opening the door to new possibilities in his Nocode journey.
On a day-to-day basis, Nassim aspires to integrate Nocode further into his professional routine. He wonders about the possibility of automating prospecting, expressing his hope that he will be able to use Nocode and AI in the future to optimize this essential process.
Its cheat code
Through his experience working on redesigns and missions, Nassim highlights an often underused but extremely powerful aspect of Nocode: custom events.
He explains that when creating workflows, it's common to have repetitive steps, which is where custom events come in! When triggered, all subsequent actions will only be executed once the custom event has been completed. He insists on the importance of not neglecting this functionality to gain efficiency and clarity in the construction of workflows.
Her advice for those who want to get started
For those wishing to get started in Nocode, Nassim recommends bootcamps such as those offered by Alegria.academy. He stresses the importance of taking part in training courses where concrete projects are involved. This hands-on approach offers direct immersion in creating and solving real problems, which is an excellent learning method.
In his opinion, attending bootcamps enables beginners to acquire tangible skills and understand how Nocode can be put into practice in a variety of contexts!
Projects he's proud of
Nassim Ezzakraoui stands out for his exceptional projects, each reflecting his passion, creativity and expertise in the Nocode field. Here are two of his proudest achievements:
Majin Pro League
- Niche concept and passion for soccer: Nassim developed this application with a deep passion for soccer, inspired by the FIFA game. The concept is innovative, fitting into a specific niche: FIFA players can create and manage their virtual teams in a league. Users can actually "buy" players (and become managers) or provide their own. Player choices can be made using values, and player statistics are based on those of the game.
- Rapid monetization and customer satisfaction: This project quickly generated revenue, which satisfied the founder and earned Nassim an outstanding reference on LinkedIn. Players were delighted with the immersive experience, creating a delighted customer and a successful project!
Playhit.io
- Responding to the Creator Economy Trend: This recent project is in line with the current Creator Economy trend, where fans pay for exclusive content. Playhit.io offers a modern solution by allowing artists to set their own prices and offer subscription packages so that listeners can access their exclusive content!
- Adapting to Current Demands: Nassim is proud of this project as it responds to the emerging needs of the digital landscape, where the creation of exclusive content is gaining in popularity. Each artist has the freedom to define his or her own rates and packages, offering flexibility to suit different requirements.
These two projects testify to Nassim Ezzakraoui's expertise in Nocode, combining technical ingenuity with an understanding of market trends to create unique and successful experiences.
