Baroscope: Nocode raises $650 million in Q3
The Nocode sector had a dynamic third quarter with 650 million dollars raised worldwide for a total of 2.35 billion dollars in 2021. While on the French market, fundraising took off in September, with three startups announcing more than one billion euros in investments in a few hours, August was the most successful month for Nocode players internationally. 19 additional tools boosted in the last 3 months
In the 19 Nocode players backed by funds and private investors in Q3 2021, three tools stand out with a $250 million raise and two at $100 million:
- Postman takes the cake with a $250 million Series D funding round and a recent valuation of $5.6 billion. The San Francisco-based startup offers a collaborative platform for developers to help them build, design, test and iterate their APIs. Nexus Venture Partners, CRV, Coatue Management, Battery Ventures and BOND participated in this latest round of funding.
- Bubble is a visual programming tool for creating web and mobile applications tailored to entrepreneurs. This American startup, co-founded by a Frenchman, raised its second round of funding in July 2021. The last round of $6.25 million was in 2019. Investors include Insight Partners, SignalFire, Neo, BoxGroup, ThirdKind, and several business angels, including the founders of cloud nugget Datadog.
- Tulip interfaces, a tool to help frontline industries move their operations to the cloud, raised $100 million in Series C funding in August. Marc Benioff's Pitango Growth and TIME Ventures funds joined the round, along with existing investors DMG MORI, NEA and Vertex Ventures US.
